Back up and restore

Keep a useful backup outside the server hosting your website too.

Back up

1. Open Réglages → Maintenance.
2. Create a backup using the native tool.
3. Download the archive and keep it elsewhere.
4. Also keep a copy of the installation files before updating.

Restore Test the backup on a copy of your website first. Restoring replaces data: keep a copy of the current state before you start.

One page only To recover earlier writing, use the content’s revision history. Check the language and version before restoring.

File-based storage still needs backups. Media, settings and content change together.
