Prepare an update

A fresh installation and an update package serve different purposes.

Before Download a backup, keep your current files and read the instructions for the package intended for your version.

On a test copy Follow the supplied procedure, then check:

• pages and articles;
• translations, menus and addresses;
• logo, images and downloads;
• wiki pages and search;
• contact form and notifications;
• admin access and backups.

On the live site Prepare a rollback, then follow the same procedure. Do not replace the whole website with a fresh-install ZIP: it does not contain your content.
